Ever wanted to start chatting with your friend instantly, by clicking an icon on your desktop? Well you can! :P Here's how Alex from Google OS explains us how to do it:

Right click on your desktop, select New > Shortcut and then type the following line in the window that appears:

gtalk:chat?jid=username@gmail.com

Replace username with the real thing and you're off to go :D And yeah you can personalize the icon on the desktop :P

Google Talk is all high voice quality so why only chat with your friends? Well call them:

gtalk:call?jid=username@gmail.com
