Gizmo Project users call Google Talk ( Posted on 2007/02/26 - 7:57 pm by Lucky ) ![]() First of all, a little about Gizmo Project: Any call to a Gizmo Project user is free. No matter when, no matter where, no matter how long. Free. There's no monthly service charge. Nor is there a set up cost. Gizmo Project is free. They just released a beta version of their client that supports calling Google Talk, Live Messenger and Yahoo! Messenger. Read all about it and it's other new features here. A little on how to use it: I downloaded this on my VM (Virtual Machine) and it installed without any glitches. I had to make a Gizmo Project user name that took less than a minute. Typed my friend's (myself, for testing purposes) Google Talk id and pressed Call. I received a friend request in Google Talk and accepted it. Nothing happened after that. I hanged up from Gizmo and called again. I pressed Call again and a Google Talk window appeared from gtalk2voip.com .. said something about pressing Call. Hey it worked! I managed to start the call. I think it would have worked better with my microphone plugged in ... Two screen shots from my test: Gizmo Project main window, Calling. Anyways this was supposed to be just a short read on how you can get it working. You can read more about this on the forums from Gizmo Project and also on gtalk2voip.com And of course, here's the download link. (12 MB) 1 comment | Active Topics Account How do you del...
